Opening The Solar Biennale x The Energy Show

Mark your calendars for the duo opening of The Energy Show and The Solar Biennale on Friday 9 September. The opening start at 17:00h at Het Nieuwe Instituut, an ode to the sun with exciting new works on, interactive tours & dj's. 

With installations and events throughout Rotterdam, the Solar Biennale - an initiative of solar designers Marjan van Aubel and Pauline van Dongen -  launches for the first time this year, with the exhibition The Energy Show – Sun, Solar and Human Power at Het Nieuwe Instituut as a core component. Organized by curator and designer Matylda Krzykowski and in collaboration with The Solar Biennale, The Energy Show revolves around the sun and its design possibilities. It features dozens of examples of innovative solar technology by artists, designers and researchers such as Mária Telkens, Solar Power for Artists and Solar Mamas.
